A Message from the President

The Albemarle-Charlottesville Human Resources Association (ACHRA) is a proud affiliate of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) - a leading voice in human resources. ACHRA has been awarded the SHRM Superior Merit Award for the past several years in recognition of its commitment to advance the HR profession.  Your continued participation will assist us in meeting the goals of ACHRA which include:

• To be a recognized community leader in human resource management
• To provide high quality, dynamic and responsible programs and service to our members and community
• To be the voice of the profession on human resource management issues
• To facilitate the development and guide the direction of the human resources profession ACHRA members range by both position and geographic location
• Be a leader in the sharing of human resources information in our community
• Increase the involvement of senior level HR professionals in ACHRA
• Increase the visibility of ACHRA in the community

The quality of ACHRA relies on its vision, its core values and spirit of volunteerism to continue to meet the high professional standards that this community has become accustomed to.  We welcome your suggestions, feedback, and programming ideas.   We look forward to our continued networking and thank you for the opportunity for allowing us to ensure that HR is recognized as a business partner in developing and executing organizational strategies that will continue to accelerate this dynamic profession!!
