In requesting Membership in the ACHRA organization, I agree in good faith to abide by the ACHRA Code of Ethics, ACHRA Mission and Membership Directory purpose as stated below:

MISSION

IT IS THE MISSION of the Albemarle/Charlottesville Human Resource Association to serve as a recognized resource and provide leadership to its membership and the business community through sharing and promoting best practices in human resource management.

CODE OF ETHICS:

  • I will respect the dignity of the individual as one of the essential elements of success in any enterprise.
  • I will demonstrate and promote a spirit of cooperative effort between owner, employees and general public, directly or indirectly connected with the enterprise.
  • I will advance those ethical employee relation concepts in personnel administration and labor relations which contribute to the objectives of the enterprise.
  • I will reveal the facts in any situation where my private interests are in conflict with those of my employer or other principles.
  • I will not permit considerations of religion, nationality, race, sex, age, party politics, or social standing to influence my professional activities.
  • I will strive to attain and demonstrate a professional level of knowledge within the body of knowledge comprising the management field.
  • I will encourage and participate in research to develop and advance new and improved management methods, skills and practices sharing the productive results of such research with others.
  • I will never use the Association or its members for purposes other than those for which they were designed.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY PURPOSE:

The information in the Directory serves as the primary communication tool for the Chapter; examples include:

  • Provide valuable information gathering and dissemination;
  • Announce chapter events including membership meetings, professional development and other HR-related activities;
  • Provide an arena for the development of trust relationships where common problems can be discussed and deliberated;   and
  • Share information on state and national HR-related legislative issues

With that in mind, it is important that any correspondence via our distribution list be solely relevant and focused on these purposes.  The Board is very clear about appropriate use of all-member emails:  They are not for the purpose of marketing or selling any company’s products, but rather a means to share HR-related information that is relevant to yourself, your company and the ACHRA chapter as a whole.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Please make a check made payable to ACHRA and mailed to: ACHRA, ATTN: Treasurer, PO Box 6185 Charlottesville, VA 22906. Your renewal application will be held until your payment is received by the ACHRA Treasurer. PLEASE indicate on the check the name of the member(s) the check is covering.
